Nicolas has a strong interest for media architecture and wish to design an interactive physical environment which is playful and immersive. Bamboo Chime is designed as an interactive installation which will generate gentle sound and LED lights by touching and interacting. In addition, Nicolas's intention for this project is not only about creating a playful environment yet also enrich the identity of the local community with this installation, and increase the social engagement and cohesive.

As the installation requires the mixed of various elements including electronics which cause a significant challenge for Nicolas in technical aspect. As his background is unrelated to electronics element, he has to do research and learn everything by himself to complete the object. Moreover, looking for materials supplies - bamboos, etc. for the installation is also challenging yet fortunately, he got his friends' help to solve it.
