ABOUT

The Glimpse project was created in 2020 by the QUT creative faculty as part of the WIL (work integrated learning) program. The students selected are chosen from across the different creative industries course at QUT. Each student brings forward their skills and knowledge to the project from video editing, documenting, marketing, and web design.

The goal of the project is to provide a small behind the scenes look at the QUT end of year design festival. This is done by the selected students from the Glimpse project who will go into the different design studios and conduct interview with the students during weeks 12 & 13. The objective of the interviews is to ask about their design process and the study journey they have taken at QUT. As for most of the students who are participating in the design festival are in their final year and this will be their final university project before they enter the workforce.

This year the disciplines who will be participating in the Glimpse project are Industrial design bachelors, Industrial design honours, Fashion Bachelors, Fashion honours, Interaction Design bachelor, Visual communication bachelors and Interactive and visual design honours. All of whom granted permission for us on the Glimpse team to come into their studios and interview them. We would like to thank them all for taking the time to do so.

As you explore this website you will see each discipline has between 2 – 3 students who represent each cohort in three minute long videos. Each video is to capture the student behind the project, so you can see a little bit of the personality behind each project. Next to each video will be links to the student’s social media and links to the design website that goes into greater detail about their projects. 

THE TEAM
